four or so years ago some marines came to see me in Corio to tell me
the marine corps had purchased the ROTC building. I was now going to be
enlisted as a marine because I was one! The ROTC building for those
that don't know was the Ranger Operations Training Centre it was the
place where Rangers entered the marine corps they weren't really
marines they were Rangers. In those days Rangers weren't marines and
marines weren't Rangers the Rangers would enter the marine corps via
the ROTC building and would only exist as part of the ROTC building to
the marine corps. The Rangers that were in the ROTC building were known
as the 42nd Airborne Ranger Regiment there was no such thing as a
ROTC building to the Rangers they were the 42nd. The Marine Ranger was
known to marines as ROTC or ROTC marines weren't really the same
as your average marine and that's understandable because they were
Rangers! All of this is going to change now all of
this becomes part of the marine corps?! Indeed we live in
interesting times but where is the 75th Ranger Regiment in all this?!
Well the 75th were Green Berets were considered part of law
enforcement or police they had abandoned their marine brothers
and gone out on their own. The number one reason why Americans
hate the police is when you call 911 and they send a policeman to
you they are not policemen they are Green Berets! That's the problem
with the police of today, they are Green Berets and we quite literally
have a Military Police (MP) in the civilian world. With this in mind it
makes sense the marines would have to evolve and adapt to the
situation but what looks like is happening is the Marine and the
Ranger (namely the 42nd) are going to become the same soldier in the
future. The ROTC marine is the future of the marine corps?! Even I
don't like where this going! Just recently the marine corps has decided
to decommission the sniper or the rifleman as it's known to the Rangers
one is left asking, what are you doing?! The Sniper and Rifleman has
always been the foundation of the marine corps with the marine corps
preferring snipers or rifleman over other types of marines now
they are throwing that all away?! Indeed you live in interesting
times but for those who believe in the good book Daniel's propehcies
ring true! God's word that every empire has a beginning and end can be
see through Daniel's prophecies where he was shown the end of Medes,
the Persians, the Greeks and the Romans too. Could this be the
beginning of the end of the American Empire who is a lot
like Rome?! The
Beast that was but isn't but is wouldn't be the United Kingdom would
it? It doesn't escape though it is also foretold to go off into
destruction like all the others in the end! |
